Das alte Kasernengelände wurde in den 30er Jahren errichtet und unterhielt eine Sperrballon-Einheit der Luftwaffe. In den 40er Jahren wurden dort Sanitäter ausgebildet. Aufgrund des Zweiten Weltkrieges, der immer mehr Opfer forderte, wurde dort ebenfalls ein Lazarett errichtet. Nach dem Krieg wurde dieses als soziale Einrichtung weitergenutzt.
Aufgrund diverser Missstände musste diese jedoch Anfang der 2000er Jahre geschlossen werden. Seitdem steht das gesamte Areal leer.

The old military camp was built in the 1930s. At first a barrage balloon divison was founded here. In the '40s it was mainly used as a place for the education of paramedics. Due to the increasing number of victims of WWII., a military hospital was errected at the grounds of the camp. After the war, they have continued to use it as a social institution.
Due to several drawbacks, the institution was shut down in the early 2000s. It has been abandoned since then.
